Due to concerns over COVID-19 the Eisteddfod committee has sadly chosen to cancel the Music and Speech & Drama Eisteddfods for 2020.
The committee is looking forward to seeing all our musicians and drama entrants next year, 2021.

  • Stardom is now open for entries
  • Please select Direct Debit for entries and invoices will be issued upon confirmation that 2020 Eisteddfod can go ahead.
  • The Committee are monitoring Queensland Health and Government Regulations about Coronavirus and will continue forward upon their advice.

Due to the current health crisis, the Biloela Eisteddfod Society committee have decided to postpone the upcoming

Music 20th May – 25th May

Speech & Drama 27th May – 31st May

Our Music, Speech & Drama Coordinators are currently working with our adjudicators to view their availability for other dates.  We are looking at the dates before or after the Dance Eisteddfod 26th August to 2nd September.

We will also take into consideration the need to source new Adjudicators as well as Exam dates for Music, Speech & Drama Biloela.

Once we have all our information we shall inform all teachers, competitors of our new dates, as soon as possible.

We thank you for your understanding in our decision to postpone our Eisteddfods and to keep our Biloela Community and travelling competitors Safe.

Biloela Eisteddfod Society

The Biloela Eisteddfod Society was established with the following aims and objectives:

  1. To promote the organisation of an Eisteddfod in Biloela.
  2. To foster and promote the love and knowledge of Music, Literature, Dance and allied Arts in Central Queensland.
  3. To do all things conducive in attaining these objectives.


The Biloela Eisteddfod has five competitions:

Music (Instrumental) - piano, violin, woodwind, brass, sight reading
Music (Vocal) - singing in choirs and as individuals
Speech - verse, group, bible reading, humorous, bard, impromptu
Drama - character, solo, scripted, mime, improvisation
Dance – ballet, jazz, tap, contemporary


The Biloela Eisteddfod Committee engages well qualified and highly respected Adjudicators in their professional areas of expertise from across Queensland.

Biloela Eisteddfod Society wishes to acknowledge the support of

the Banana Shire Council, Callide Motor Inn/Biloela Anzac Memorial Club and Callide ValleyToyota, Biloela in sponsoring our Adjudicators.
